{"id":941,"date":"2015-12-18T15:06:26","date_gmt":"2015-12-18T07:06:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mfasia.org\/stepitup\/?p=941"},"modified":"2019-02-24T01:27:51","modified_gmt":"2019-02-23T17:27:51","slug":"winners-of-ilos-global-media-competition-entitled-reporting-fairly-on-labour-migration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cmw25.mfasia.org\/?p=941","title":{"rendered":"Winners of ILO\u2019s Global Media Competition Entitled \u201cReporting Fairly on Labour Migration\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As we celebrate Migrants&#8217; Campaign Month, the International Labour Organization (ILO) had a global media competition entitled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilo.org\/global\/topics\/labour-migration\/policy-areas\/guidance-for-journalists\/awarding-excellence\/lang--en\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Reporting Fairly on Labour Migration\u201d<\/a>. \u00a0The ILO received a total of 258 entries from contestants in 68 countries. Ten entries from the <i>Professional Journalist<\/i> category and ten entries from the <i>Citizen Journalist<\/i> category were sent to five independent judges tasked with the responsibility of selecting the winners.<\/p>\n<p>Kindly click on the link below to find out the winners of this global media competition!<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.ilo.org\/global\/topics\/labour-migration\/policy-areas\/guidance-for-journalists\/awarding-excellence\/lang&#8211;en\/index.htm<\/p>\n<p>ILO managed to arrange for a meeting between Ray Mwareya, the winner n South Africa, and ILO&#8217;s Country Director based in Pretoria.
